#19 – The Korean Cult, Speaking in Tongues, and False Converts
On this episode, we will talk about a parable the WMSCOG uses to teach one of their doctrines. They believe that Christ’s church apostatize as soon as the apostles died. They claim that the parable of the wheat and the tares proves their point. We will demonstrate that this parable does not teach that the church will apostatize. On the contrary, that whole chapter in Matthew 13 shows the church growing in numbers. In the parable of the wheat and the tares, the point Christ was teaching was that there will be false believers living in the kingdom of God. Nothing in the parable says the church will apostatize. There will be false converts and even false teachers living among the true Christians. We see this happening throughout the Scriptures (Paul refutes the Judaizers and John warns Christians of the gnostics). The history of the church is a battle of truth and error amongst enemies of the faith from within the walls of the church and from without. But never has the true church apostatize since Christ promised to build His church and that the gates of Hades will not be able to stop it. This is important because this is what the WMSCOG uses to convince new people that their church is the only true and restored church. Since the cult believes they are the only true and restored church, they have to demonstrate that the Christian churches have apostatize. I hope and pray that you guys will be encouraged, blessed, and sanctified as a result of this episode.
